Tools Needed:
1. Drill
2. Pocket hole jig
3. Wood glue
4. Miter saw
5. Wood filler
6. Sanding block (180 grit)
Cut the wood of your choice to desired length based on the size of your project. My project was a simple 32×23 inch window. I like using MDF for this project since it flexes better than harder wood such as plywood (more on that later). I did miter cuts for my joints.
Find a flat surface to lay the pieces of wood (this is key for using the pocket jig tool). Drill at least two pocket holes in one of the miter edges with the pocket jig.
Place a small amount of wood glue on one of the miter joints and join it with the other miter edges. Use a clamp to keep it in place while screwing the joints together.
You can use wood filler to conceal the small seams in the joints. It provides a nice finish when painting the trim.

for the frame to fit around the window. This is why I use MDF so I flex it to fit around the window.
